Corporate Citizenship

“If the world is better for our lives, that influence will go on forever.”

— Judson Moss Bemis

When Judson Moss Bemis founded his bag manufacturing company in 1858, he instilled a philanthropic vision that has remained an important component of Bemis’ company culture for over 150 years.

Contributing to a variety of social, educational, and human welfare causes takes many forms at all Bemis Company locations. Through employee volunteerism, corporate sponsorships, and monetary donations, Bemis helps enrich communities and continues to carry on a tradition of giving back that began so long ago.

Bemis’ Dixie Toga supported after school programs

Community involvement is embraced at Bemis’ global operations in Asia, Europe, and North and South America. Each country’s Bemis operation structures its philanthropic practices independently, yet all believe strongly in corporate citizenship.  Bemis’ Asia Pacific operations have supported a wide range of organizations including Singapore’s Children’s Cancer Foundation and the National Heart Institute of Malaysia. The Company’s Dixie Toga business in Brazil uses money collected from a company recycling program to fund community programs and support social projects.
