2007 marks the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce’s centennial year. In keeping with their stated mission, “to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Oshkosh area,” the Chamber has created a comprehensive plan to further the development of the City of Oshkosh and its business community. The OCC asked all of its 1,100 member businesses to support this fund and Curwood/Bemis was asked to take a leadership role by contributing to this effort.

Terre Haute has one of the largest working poor populations in the state. Providing a “new” Terre Haute Children’s Museum is at the center of a turn around, especially with the focus on mathematics, science and technology – they are helping to build the next college bound student and skilled work force. The community believed it made good economic sense to come together and provide greater opportunity for their children. With the support of the local Terre Haute facility, Bemis Company Foundation provided funds for the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.
Future Neenah, Inc., a nonprofit civic and economic development organization, has been hosting this 3-on-3 community-wide basketball tournament for the past 16 years. This tournament, which is held each June, takes place on 33 courts in the streets of downtown Neenah. This year, Bemis became a sponsor of this community basketball tournament.
