Major U.K Retailer asks for BePack™ K, we deliver something better


Keeping meat fresh while also making it look appealing isn’t easy, then again, we never expected it to be. Nowadays, more companies are also paying attention to reducing their environmental footprint in areas such as plastic waste, CO2 emissions and energy consumption.

It was for these reasons we developed our BePack™ K with Paper-Like™, a high-quality, resealable package that weighs less. But we didn’t stop there. When given the opportunity to engineer an even better package our team was ready for the challenge.

A retailer had high expectations. We exceeded them.

When a major U.K. retailer came to us with a resealable pack-style in mind that would reduce energy consumption and waste, while also being an eye-catcher on the shelf, we didn’t just deliver – we went above and beyond.

We began by creating an artisanal design guaranteed to be eye-catching. Then we topped that by swiftly delivering a new package film with UV protection and anti-fog capacities. This innovative design is a cutting-edge development for Be-Pack™ applications and is the first of its kind.

The results:

  • The U.K. retailer has confirmed they have seen a 15% increase in sales.
  • Production cost went down – 50% less energy was used because the film worked efficiently with the Omori Europe’s flowpackers compared to customer’s prior thermoforming lines.
  • The retailer reduced their environmental burden while also increasing overall customer satisfaction, writing that “supermarket customers have welcomed the new packaging with great enthusiasm.”
Throughout the process we kept tabs on the changing needs and wants from our customer; it was this ongoing communication and teamwork that allowed us to make a great product exceptional.
