About Bemis Company, Inc.
Established in 1858 in St. Louis, Missouri, as a manufacturer of machine sewn cotton bags for milled food and grain products, Bemis has played an influential role in the packaging industry ever since its founding. Now a global supplier of flexible packaging headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin, Bemis serves customers worldwide and produces packaging for products found in virtually every aisle of the grocery store.
With 2013 net sales from continuing operations of $4.5 billion, Bemis operates 61 facilities in 11 countries. Over two-thirds of Bemis packaging is used in the food industry, with the balance used in markets including medical, pharmaceutical, chemical and agribusiness. We use our strong technical base in polymer chemistry, film extrusion, coating and laminating, printing, and converting to design, develop, and manufacture innovative packaging solutions that extend shelf-life, deliver convenience, provide sterility, and add value to our customers’ products and brands.
