MACtac® IMAGin® B-free™ Window Films Revolutionize Window Graphics

STOW, Ohio - April 16, 2009 - Creating and applying stunning graphics for windows and internally illuminated signs is nothing short of reality with the introduction of three new window films from MACtac® Graphic Products. Continuing the growth of its application friendly, industry-leading IMAGin® B-free™ wide-format digital media products, MACtac's new IMAGin B-free Window Films are reverse printable for indoor and outdoor applications and feature MACtac's smooth, proprietary, omni-directional bubble-free adhesive technology, offering installation ease while eliminating wet application and visible adhesive patterns.

IMAGin B-free Window Films consist of a 3.1-mil polymeric PVC facestock designed for solvent-based and UV-cured inkjet printing and are available in three different finishes; B-free Frosted JT5796 for a translucent matte frosted finished, B-free Dusted JT5798 for a translucent dusted matte finish, and B-free Clear JT5999 for a clear gloss finish.

"All of our IMAGin B-free products take ease of application to a whole new level for a much faster, more efficient project turnaround that can only be achieved with MACtac products. With the new window films, installers will experience an outstanding finished look on glass and faster installation without air bubbles or wrinkling while eliminating water and other wet application fluids that often cause messes and extend clean-up."

Originally developed for window décor, IMAGin B-free Window Films are ideal for indoor and outdoor window graphics, as well as internally illuminated signs or light boxes. With reverse printing capabilities, images can be seen on both sides of a piece of glass; therefore, graphics can be applied indoors, but viewed outdoors for flexibility with local regulations.

The films feature an 80# polycoated liner for excellent lay-flat and print stability and are coated on one side with a repositionable, permanent, clear acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive that is micro-structured, resulting in increased speed of dry application.

"There are many products on the market that feature bubble-free characteristics, especially for vehicle graphics, but installers are looking for more. They want the benefits of those products for the many other applications they encounter time and time again. The addition of the new bubble-free window films was the next logical step in answering that call, and it won't be the last."

When used outdoors, unprinted films have a durability of five to seven years. Pairing the films with one of MACtac's PERMACOLOR® RAYZor™ overlaminates will add durability and prevent graphics from color fade.
