Hormel Honors Curwood for the Second Consecutive Year with 2011 “Spirit of Excellence” Award

Leading Packaging Company Garners Prestigious Spirit of Excellence Award Again as a Top Supplier for Hormel Foods.

Oshkosh, Wisconsin – June 14, 2012 - Hormel Foods Corporation has awarded Curwood, Inc., with a 2011 Spirit of Excellence Award—a prestigious honor that celebrates the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and contribution to the Hormel heritage of innovation and quality. This is the second year in a row Curwood has been recognized with this award, also taking home the honor in 2010.

Curwood, a leading packager and a division of Bemis Company, supplies Hormel with a broad range of brand packaging solutions for Hormel’s high-quality food and meat products. Over the last few years Curwood has integrated manufacturing facilities, material technologies and resource teams to provide strengthened capabilities and a seamless source of supply. On June 14th, Hormel’s top purchasing professionals and packaging engineers travelled to Menasha, Wisconsin to personally present the award to Curwood’s dedicated Hormel Sales and Service team.
