Social Sustainability
At Bemis, the concept of social sustainability involves a combination of support for our employees and their families as well as support for the communities in which we operate.
Employee Relations
The dedication of our employees is the key component that allows us to deliver quality products and advances in technology. Thanks to their hard work, Bemis has enjoyed 150 years of success, and our employee relations activities devoted to wellness, safety, training, education, and diversity reflect our appreciation for their efforts.
Community Relations
Since its founding in 1858, Bemis Company has enjoyed a long history of philanthropic giving. Bemis believes in the importance of being engaged in the communities in which we operate and of supporting organizations that meet ever-changing community needs and enhance the quality of life in those communities. We perceive this involvement as one facet of good management and good business.
In the company’s philanthropic giving, funding is concentrated on those institutions, programs and organizations that encourage the development of social welfare and health, educational, cultural and civic institutions, reflecting employee’s volunteerism wherever possible.
In the United States, the primary vehicle for Bemis Company contributions is the Bemis Company Foundation (BCF). Community relations activities outside the United States are coordinated by individual Bemis divisions.
The links below are devoted to the three primary categories of Bemis giving, highlighting examples of employee volunteerism and special company donations. Bemis is very proud of employees' involvement in these communities, whether they are individual or group efforts.
